I've cut my ties cleanly. An edge honed by absence of fault. My chalk lined silhouette lost its grandeur. I am a sewn shut mouth filled with apologies. I'll keep my distance with no grand sight to see. There is no white light. No heavenly song. Just black vastness. Cold and lonesome. It freezes the marrow in your bones. I keep my body hanging below the cold and the dark. No one feels an absence when something is always gone. Close your eyes. Sleep it off. Cast a memory to coat in rust. My teeth are ground down to nothing. Eyes shallow and sunken. The lull of death when life is overwhelming softly singing.
